About two weeks.

I was talking with a friend, and we figured that's about how long it takes the average legislator to become smarter than the rest of us. Think about it:

They leave here just ordinary folks. About two weeks later, they know all kinds of things that we're too stupid to figure out. Like whether we want to go into a restaurant that allows smoking. Or whether we want to use regular gasoline, or gasoline with ethanol. Or whether our passenger on the Missoula trip is responsible enough to have a beer on the way. Or how to spend the $7,777.00 for every man, woman and child in the State of Montana that they just spent.

Whew, gud thing thur so durn smart. They shore do git smart fast ofer thur in Heleena.
