Gossip Sheet

The front page of the Tribune carried a story today about a little spat between Reps. Roger Koopman and Parker over the stalled budget bill. The story contained the following:

Koopman said later he wanted to tell Parker there were no hard feelings and was then subjected to a "verbal assault."

Parker said Koopman told him he was "too sensitive," and that he replied that he was tired of hearing Koopman insult House Democrats.

"I decided that enough is enough," Parker said. "It's an insult to be told that we don't support freedom ... I (told him) I'm sick and tired of you attacking our people, and that I'm not going to take it any more."

This is a front page story?

"And then Susie told the Governor that my mommy wears combat boots."

"Did not."

"Did so."

Nanny nanny poo poo. Isn't there any...I dunno...news happening?
