Hmmm...

Did you ever notice how our local community activists, whether fighting casinos, pushing for a sign code, or advocating a new zoning code, always claim to be trying to improve Great Falls. Why, then, do they first find it necessary to slam Great Falls to make their point?

"It's so ugly here," or "1oth Ave. So. is the ugliest street in Montana."

When visitors comes to town to stay with friends or relatives, what do you think makes a greater impression on them, signs that are a foot too tall, or a host that constantly bitches about the appearance of our city?

Maybe if our local do-gooders spent more time on a positive attitude (and positive works) than attacking our community they might have more positive effects.

While this post was not really directed toward City Hall, I do think there's hope. I consider "fighting City Hall" to be lawsuits, etc. I am talking more about community input. Let's keep making a stink!
