Headlines
I received an email from a friend today that I thought particularly cogent. He pointed out that if you were recruiting a new doctor to town, or perhaps if you were trying to lure "the Big One," you sure wouldn't want them to see today's headlines:
- "Woman Slain in City Motel..."
- "Son went shopping before reporting death..."
- "Deputy accused of theft..."
- "Meth getting worse..."
- "Tier '3' Sex Offender moves to Great Falls..."
Every time I have suggested to people that they run, I get a similar response: "That's an awful lot of meetings to go to for a few hundred bucks a month..."
That's true. Maybe it's time to switch to a full-time, paid commission like the county?

I noticed the same thing while surfing the Trib site late last night...arguably the "worst" news day since I arrived 3 years ago.
