I'm not so sure Bush left Thune hanging in the wind, but rather it looks like Thune promised South Dakotans something he couldn't deliver.
It isn't up to the President to follow through on John Thune's campaign promises. That is John Thune's job.
Great answer to a rhetorical question.
Apparently, he did not. This morning, the BRAC commission voted to take Ellsworth off the list 8-1.
Don't tell me that the BRAC is about saving money. It is all about redistributing defense money to the districts of the party in power.
