Who do they work for, anyway?

In a story strangely reminiscent of Mayor Gray's telling us that Great Falls "wants" a sign code after listening to hours of vociferous opposition to that code, now we learn that the State is sending guys around to tell small communities and small businessmen they have to take down their signs.

Seriously, do we exist for the purpose of funding government employees to tell us what to do? How much control over our lives do we intend to surrender?

Will we ever demand our freedom back from these people?
