You mean photo op Schweitzer the Great Falls Tribune's hero. The most over rated Gov. in recent memory.
Well...the trip certainly wasn't necessary, but if it helped lift the spirits of any Montana troops serving over there, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt on this issue.
I thought that too, David. But is the average MANG guy really all that impressed with the Governor?
Think he has ratcheted up his campaign for VP 2008? Or is he delusional enough to envision getting the top spot. It would be nice for once to get someone in office who actually wanted the job he/she has instead of just seeing their current job as a stepping stone. I had the same thoughts when he took his trip to New Orleans and I saw the Tribune helicopter photo with him wearing kakis (ala “Mission Accomplished” and GWB). Today’s story didn’t have a photo of him wearing a imitation military uniform but it did talk about his talent in firing an enemy machine gun and Glock hand gun while visiting the war zone. Hopefully in tomorrow’s edition we’ll hear about how he dispatched a few enemy insurgents and saved some lives.
Please help me. If there is anybody at the Tribune,Gazette or other media outlet that, covers the Governor and, reads this blog I want to know specifically what Schweitzer has accomplished in his less than 2 years in office. How is Montana a better place to live? Your sure like to take his picture.
