The Left Coast

Look, I am no stranger to left-wing Hollywood politics. I'm no prude, and I really don't mind drunk people (for awhile!). But there's something about this whole Danny DeVito thing I find incredibly offensive. (Video here)

You see, Abraham Lincoln was one of our greatest leaders. He presided over the mending of the torn fabric of our nation after the Civil War, and helped lead us to the end of slavery. He, and his presidency, should be held in great reverence by all of us. And the Lincoln Bedroom is an historic site owned by all of us, an important shrine to our past:

Young Willie Lincoln (age 11) died in the White House in the bed now in the Lincoln Bedroom at about 5:00 P.M. on February 20, 1862. Both Theodore Roosevelt and Dwight D. Eisenhower claimed they felt the powerful presence of Abraham Lincoln in this room. Eleanor Roosevelt said, "Sometimes when I worked at my desk late at night I'd get a feeling that someone was standing behind me. I'd have to turn around and look." Rumors were that Winston Churchill had a Lincoln sighting in the room.
Yet, the drunken DeVito, goes on national television and talks about how he and his wife, Rhea Perlman, "made it [their] business, to really wreck the joint." To the "yeah, yeah" encouragement of Rosie O'Donnell, DeVito continued:

"I mean every place in that bedroom was..." says DeVito.
"Utilized!" chimes in the ever helpful O'Donnell to gales of laughter. "There you go Danny!"

The thought of a slimy little punk like DeVito knocking boots in one of our most sacred memorials just flat pisses me off. And then to go on television, and joke about it?

President Lincoln was one of the greatest leaders of the free world, and this f*cking little puke, and his fat-assed O'Donnell cheering section, obviously feel themselves his equals. You would not do that in the room of someone you respected and admired. You would not joke about it. (Seriously, can you even comprehend the arrogance of a no-talent like O'Donnell placing herself on a level with Lincoln?)

Thinking about that fat little punk and Carla from Cheers defacing the Lincoln Bedroom makes me want to vomit. These people make me f*cking sick.

And I don't want to talk about it any more.
