Open Government

About two months ago, I started researching this whole coal plant issue. As a part of this, I had a very sharp employee of mine contact the City Government, specifically Coleen Balzarini's office, to obtain copies of all of the contracts, proposals, business plans, etc., relating to Electric City Power and the coal plant.

She had a heck of a time even getting a return phone call. Finally, after several messages, she spoke with someone in Ms. Balzarini's office. After explaining what she wanted, my employee was told they would look into it and get back to us. They didn't.

So we started calling again. Finally, the gal told my employee that she'd put together whatever they had and let us come and get copies of it.

That was December 15, 2006.

We have never heard from them again.
