More Climate Change Hypocrisy

John Travolta is still willing to nag us about the "importance of helping the environment by using 'alternative methods of fuel,'" despite the fact that he flies around in jumbo jets like the rest of us hop in our Geo Metros. His home:

His annual carbon emissions of 800 tons is ok, though, because he uses these jets "as a business tool though, as others do." His extreme hypocrisy is fine, because it is "part of this industry," apparently referring to his career as an actor.

Let's see:

1. Global warming is endangering the earth.
2. It is ok for me to actions that significantly worsen this 'danger' because I am an actor and I 'need' to be able to do it.

Therefore:

3. Acting is more important than the earth.

Can you say "egomaniacal?"

You know, I just saw a great documentary produced by the BBC called "The Great Global Warming Swindle."

It argues that the casual link between CO2 and warming is tenuous, at best. Looking at atmospheric evidence in prior warming trends experienced on Earth, going back thousands of years, the makers of this documentary argue that increasing CO2 levels are a result of warming, rather than the cause of it.

Food for thought. The video is available on YouTube.

Holy cow! He really looks official in that uniform, doesn't he? I like that the solution to global warming can be found in outer space. . . OK
