Minding the Campus

I am very interested in the trends on modern campuses to restrict the free flow of ideas based on "tolerance" and "diversity." This predated, but was fueled by, my personal involvement in just such a case.

I was glad to see, then, a new project called Minding the Campus. It will act as a clearinghouse for stories of campus abuse. It will go on my "Favorites" list.

There is a similar site/organization out there, FIRE. FIRE has done some good things, and their co-founder, Harvey Silverglate, is a leader in this area. FIRE's site is more about their exploits than the issue in general. (And, I must admit, that in the case I handled FIRE's 'support' was somewhat disappointing.)
