Most of you know I post in the morning.

Those of you who are driving across the 10th Avenue South bridge between now and about 8:00 a.m. this morning will see some water skiers on the glass-like river.

That's why I am not writing anything this morning!

Have Fun Geeguy -

Still I want to be sure to note this in his absence:

"The process has not been inclusive," said Dan Wiley, chief of resources stewardship for the Lewis and Clark National Historic Trail in Omaha.

Tim Gregori, general manager of Southern Montana Electric Generation & Transmission Cooperative, said project consultants and RUS had notified the Park Service "very early on in the process." He said he was not certain why the agency did not respond.

Gregori added plant opponents had not raised the historic landmark issue in earlier public hearings.

"We were the ones that brought it to everybody's attention," Gregori said.

LINK THE POSTS IN THIS FORUM TO ALL THE MONEY GREGORI IS SUCKING UP FROM TAXPAYERS....

Gregori said he is not impatiently awaiting the federal decision, explaining it's important the agency do "a very thorough and complete job" before making its decision.

GREGORI IS GETTING TAXPAYER MONEY EVEN IF THE PLANT IS NOT BUILT.

Could someone explain to me just what qualified gregori to be an energy expert anyway? Or for that matter, jonny lotten? I never was quite sure how they acquired their expertise to lead the city of GF down that road.

I think Gregori actually has some expertise. I am not sure what qualifies John Lawton and Coleen Balzarini to run an energy utility, though.

Dear LK
The commissioners do not need to be knowledgeable; they rely on the Electric City Power Board of "experts." The ECP Board do not have to be knowledgeable - they Rely on the well known energy expert Fiscal Services Director Balzarini, who in turn relies on a study by City Administrator Love - a study that consisted of one email response to his question of how many municipalities own generation. 4 coal plants out of 2000 PUD's. (publicly owned utilities.) Mr. Lawton relies on Mr. Gregori who in turn relies on a company in Kentucky that operates a similar type of plant.
Consultants Bison and Stanley are paid for advice if the plant is built or not built. R. W. Beck is paid to advise the city too.

Advice from those who are knowledgeable but unpaid is really just a waste of time and was just confusing things so - the 3 minute rule was enacted by a vote of 5-0.

"... The ECP Board do not have to be knowledgeable -..."

Nor did our state legislators in Helena with regard to the business of Montana Power..... And we can all see what a mess that made...
