Why should Hensley resign? So many of the city employees and office holders are closely aligned with other entities within the city. It makes it so much easier to move the money, jobs, land, or agree on the things that matter to them such as, putting an individual or organization out of business or giving public funds to them, openly or covertly.
So she was there (at least in 2006 & part of 2007) when much of these ECP/SME "dealing" were taking place right under her nose. Very interesting indeed!
Geeguy, this issue also came up at the October 20 candidate forum. While it established that Hensley used to be Balzarini's secretary, I don't think the question you pose here to be really fair.
Just because Hensley used to work for Balzarini doesn't mean that they agree (of course, Hensley's answers at the 10/17 forum would seem to indicate they do, but I digress). Hensley did a fair and competent job as a member of the School Board.
No one has shown any evidence that Hensley ever did anything improper nor that she is a schill for the city. People shouldn't be banned from running for the commission just because they used to work for the city.
Skewer her on her positions. However, this here just isn't cricket.

Will she keep her day job if elected?
Would that be ethical?
Is it wise to have commission members involved with any activities under the purview of said body?
I think if she was serious about running for office she would promise to resign her position with the city if elected.
(me thinks enough to say she walks like a duck too)

She no longer works for the city and hasn't for some time. Get your facts straight. Oh, wait...when has that ever stopped some of you?
According to the Tribune, she left the employment of the City in 2007.

Why don't you get facts in order and present them?
Put up or shut your soup cooler/pie hole.
