True Colors?

There was an article in the April 22, 2005, Tribune (I couldn't find it online) about the Dems celebrating after the session while "[s]omber Republicans shook their heads in disgust."

But what really caught my eye was a reference to a Bozeman Republican, Roger Koopman. You can like Roger or not, but he votes consistently in favor of freedom and limited government. Apparently, the notion of supporting freedom is funny to the Dems. The Tribune had this to say about their post-session soiree:

"They prefaced many comments with 'I want to talk about freedom...' before going on to congratulate or thank other members of their party."

So they think it is humorous, or worthy of derision, that someone considers proposed laws from the perspective of whether these laws restrict our freedom. And they're in the majority? Scary.
