What would you think?

What would you think if one of the city employees responsible for the Lewis and Clark Signature Event had advance notice that the Great Falls Tribune was receiving a plethora of letters criticizing the event? Would you consider that a breach of journalistic ethics that they would let the target of criticism know of criticism before it was available to the public?

What would you think if that same city employee then used city property to contact friends and allies to urge that they write letters supporting her (him) and the city to counteract the negative letters? Would you consider that a breach of government ethics to use public property to promote an agenda favorable to one's own hide?

I don't know. I'm still thinking about it.

I think it is WRONG & the employee needs to be disciplined.

*IMHO*

Ethically questionable at best. If it is who I think it is (and I'm pretty sure it is) she will not be disciplined or reprimanded - probably encouraged. A sad state indeed!

Did you expect anything different from the yahoos who run the Trib? The same paper that has been writing about the Lewis and Clark expedition for the last... what is it now... 5,000 days? It is a sad state of affairs.
