Hurricane Katrina

Was the slow response the fault of the Feds, or the local government?

Local gov't should be better prepared. Everyone knows the feds take time. Everyone knew this thing was coming, it is reasonable (I think) to expect that people should have been ready. From the citizens, local level, state level and federal level. I would have been running with my water and bologna sandwiches days before these folks.

Bush wanted black people to die.He hates them. That's all there is to it.That's why Blanco and Nagin were kidnapped by Rumsfeld's shock troops. Chertoff and Brown are Klansman. The entire Katrina disaster was planned by PNAC and other assorted neocons prior to Bush's Supreme Court appointment to the presidency. The first step was taken by refusing to sign Kyoto, once the earth's mean temprature started to rise over the following 2 1/2 years, the Halliburton Orbital Death Laser was
employed to provide the finishing touches to take out the levees. Sorry, after reading Kos and listening to democrats all week all I have left is sarcasm. I hope we've all sent money to relief groups.

Saying that Bush hates black people is so very ignorant. It is extremely obvious that the mayor is at fault when you see all of the buses he could have used...also, Amtrak volunteered to take citizens out of the city, but they were turned down by Ray Nagin. The governor, Kathleen Blanco turned down the services of the federal government twice before accepting help. All you hear on CNN is when she finally asked for everything the federal government had to offer, but that was the third chance for her to do it- she could have asked immediately. That is her job as a governor. It is the governor's job to call Washington D.C. and get the troops activated to come down and help. The president cannot act until things are handed over by state and local officials. Anyone who says we don't have enough troops here in the states because of the war is also ignorant. There are hundreds of thousands. Mayor Ray Nagin of New Orleans sent out DVD's some time ago telling citizens that if a hurricane was to hit, that essentially, they were on their own. I am glad you guys here at this blog make sense, because I am tired of hearing CNN lie to us. Take care and check out my website. http://callfamily.blogspot.com
