Cartoons aren't funny

This whole Islamic explosion over the publishing of what the Muslims deem offensive cartoons would be humorous if it did not so clearly reflect on the state of global politics.

Seriously, can you imagine that members of a religion who feel it is acceptable to kill others who believe differently than they do, claim the right to attack and protest based on cartoon depictions? (I know, I know, religion of peace and all that...) Aside from that is the fact that, based on the work of maybe 10 cartoonists, these fanatics are attacking and deriding entire countries. For those of you who think that there is but a small group of radical extremists, I would suggest this incident is very suggestive of the true, and overriding hatred of the western culture.

I cannot help but think of these Islamists as the spoiled brats of the world. Ever demanding and always offended, instead of seeking their retribution with tantrums and tears they use mayhem and bombs. And the west, ever the dutiful parents, pat them on the head, try to listen to their complaints and soothe those around them with talk of 'sanctions."

The pieces they did were inflamatory in content to Muslims and these cartoonists should not have been suprised at the reaction. Just because you have the freedom to say it- that doesn't mean you should. Alot of these Islamist extremists are not going to quietly take it like other religious groups have. If you insult someone, expect a reaction. Insult someone who is insane and...
