John Mercer

Resigning member of the Board of Regents, John Mercer, had this to say to Governor Schweitzer:

It is not my intent to criticize your enthusiasm for national self-promotion, synfuels or the calculated sound bite of the day, but rather to simply ask that you consider making a similar commitment to the students, faculty and staff of the Montana University System.

I don't know if I would go as far as Mercer, and I think he showed a lack of political tact, but his are concerns I have also raised about our Governor. Is he in it for us, or for Brian? I guess time will tell. Personally, I am still hopeful, but he has to stop gallivanting around the country on the Brian Schweitzer tour, and come home and stick to the knittin'.
