PPL Tax Protest

A local judge recently decided the PPL lawsuit. Apparently, he found that the truth was somewhere in the middle between PPL's position and the State's position.

Judge Dirk Sandefur is one of the best District Court judges I have encountered in the 18 years I have practiced law. (Full Disclosure: I have known him since I was a little kid) His decisions are always well-reasoned and, win or lose, you know you got a fair shake.

My point is this: I don't understand tax valuation issues, but I am willing to bet almost anything that Judge Sandefur's decision is correct. The guy is solid as a rock. If he says it's so, it's so.
