Meth

Some good news in the meth war. (Check out the Montana website)

I have had several people involved in the social services industry (read: charities) comment to me that meth is a "buzzword" and it is "overstated as a problem." These people suggested that, since meth use has been so highly publicized, everyone is jumping on the bandwagon, so to speak, in order to garner support and dollars.

I don't know if I agree with it, but it is definitely an interesting thought.

According to the GFPD there are probably 2 meth labs operating in town right now. That is down from 5 two years ago.

Don't tell McGrath. He's disputing the findings.

But I'd have suspicions, too, since the group, The Sentencing Project is so committed to supporting "alternatives to prison terms for convicted drug users and other criminals."

I vote for the best alternative: locked in an institution until sober and healed.
