Power Contracts, Part IV

From the City Clerk, Lisa Kunz:

Hi Greg - pursuant to my requests for the information you requested from me on September 28th, I was delivered a memo yesterday from Martha Cappis, Operations Supervisor, with attachments regarding the long term electric supply contracts and the pilot program contracts. As I understand it, the residential customers are through a pilot program that was approved by the Montana Public Service Commission. If you want to give me a call, I'll go through the memo and attachments with you to determine what you want me to copy for you.

Thanks Greg, I look forward to hearing from you.

I left Lisa a message in response to this email.

I appreciate her efforts, and I am absolutely certain she is attempting to get the documents for me as promptly as she can. She is a straight shooter.

As for the rest of the delay, well...

Uhhh....what? They are now giving you information on what they have given you but not what you have asked for or what you should be given?

WOW. Wake me when you get what you asked for.

yikes, these are the experts that have taken over the animal shelter, want to build a coal plant, run a electric utility, want to take over emergency services, want to take over every private service they can get their hands on.

somebody going to turn the lights out when we all leave?

And don't forget that, back in June, I was told: "According to Martha Cappis, ECPI has a license with the PSC to provide a small specific group of customers power. The customers were chosen to include small commercial and residential customers that we could not serve under our existing license due to their average monthly usage being below the PSC set limit. We 'brainstormed' to come up up with a diverse group of knowledgeable participants who we could rely on to give us an unbiased opinion of our service, rates, etc. To date, we have not initiated the [pilot] program."

How do I get a lower electric bill too? How about free water instead?

They didn't ANSWER your question....misdirection and sophistry yet again....we WANT
to know 'who' the next customers might be...it's very plain but they act like it's a national secret, like Highwood is now a national security asset, what a lark!

It appears deception, deceit, and duplicity are becoming increasingly acceptable in Montana politics.

I find it disturbing how the MPSC is involved in this (in spite of the fact that rationalization is a form of self-deception).

Will they claim they too were deceived?

And let's not forget the water! I'm still mad as hell that a freakin' MALT PLANT gets the water out of Giant Springs while the REST of us drink the crap outta the Missouri! How did this happen? Most people simply assumed that the water from Giant Springs was inviolate. But judy mars and co. snuck it through before anyone everyone realized what was happening! But here's the deal. The state Lege is tightening up the regs on new water well drilling, etc. so that any new growth will be virtually dependent on existing water sources. If we continue to squander our water on projects like Lotten's Folly and Donna's Delusion, we will have NO water for future growth! This is NOT a "vision" to be pursued. The new regs could be inacted in the next two years. In othe words, no new wells. And then ALL new water for growth will have to come from the river. People need to wake up and understand that water is more precious than a polluting coal plant! If GF is to foster new growth, it must have water to do it!

I bet you dollars to donuts the City has in fact initiated the pilot program to give a sweetheart deal to City reps and plant supporters- so the rest of us taxpayers can subsidize them. Would be nice if someone could find a smoking gun in the City files, imagine the uproar that would cause- even the Trib would have to report such a story.

The Fib????? HAHAHHAHAHA! You tol' a funny. The Fib was defanged and denutted a looong time ago. There's nothing left there to bite with! I mean, look at today's paper for example. If there's any hard news in there, while by God I'LL eat the entire paper! And what I eventually produce as a natural consequence of that action will contain WAY MORE news than today's edition!

Repeat after me; we're not worthy we're not worthy.

Anon 11:45, that would be too easy.

You can easily do this yourself. Just look for the 20 or so yards with the signs to elect Stebbins & Kuntz.

Those will be your ECP pilot customers.

Much faster driving around town than waiting for the city to provide information. Besides, we have a real good guess at the totally random group, right?
